I am compiling a list of Google about: hacks. This post will be updated as I stumble upon more of them.
- Type about: in Google’s new browser Chrome and you will see a message similar to what you would see in Firefox.

Google Chome Mini Hack 1
- Type about:memory, you will get a page listing the memory utilization for each process the browser is using.

Chrome Memory Config
- about:cache – this will list all of the sites and content Chrome has saved on your computer locally for a faster load time
- view-cache:stats – More cache based information, such as file sizes, etc.
- about:plugins – this will list all of the plugins installed by default. At the moment there is not a way to add user-made plugins (that I am aware), but this looks like the underlying architecture that will enable us to do so in the future.
- about:internets – A nice little easter egg, displaying a series of tubes. Only works in XP.
- about:histograms – Not entirely sure what’s going on here, but it looks like application usage and event statistics
- about:dns – Displays DNS Prefetching information
- about:network – a nice built in tool to monitor I/O and Performance of your network connection
- about:crash - Displays the default crash page, for when bad things happen to good browsers
Useful, thanks.
